The biggest mistake of the projects in Romania are the opportunity, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies that are generally done in a short period of time, by companies with a lack of know-how for this type of complex projects. Thus, there are excluded a whole series of aspects have to be taken into account: medical and sanitary circuits, disinfection and sterilization circuits, doctor and patient circuits, and an entire series of functional circuits that put together should result in an integrated circuit that is functional 24/7 for 50 years.
These projects, for the most part, are done without consultation with the medical and ancillary staff who would ultimately operate them.
THE PAST THAT LEFT ITS MARK …
The poor image of health infrastructure in Romania over the last 33 years is precisely the result of these weak and inefficient studies, often under-budgeted, with non-functioning circuits. These studies could not be applied because they did not materialize into modern buildings to replace the current physically and morally worn-out health infrastructure.
We are talking about circuits that no longer correspond to the current needs of the health system, and no longer fit any national or European regulations.
